StatesRise envisions a United States that is more fully protective of human rights because every state and locality, and their publics, regularly invoke state constitutions to protect the rights of all within their borders against infringement.
Mission
Build a movement around state constitutional rights.
StatesRise exists to combat growing government and private sector assaults on long-cherished human rights. Following the original intent of our Nation’s Founders, StatesRise is building a movement, across the political spectrum, to protect those rights by invoking state constitutions.
StatesRise works by networking scholars, litigators, activists, policymakers, influencers, and others to nurture a new national conversation about states as primary protectors of human rights, and by translating those ideas into public debate and popular action.
